However, doing so means I loose the right-click context menu for when I want to run certain .ps1 files directly in PowerShell 7 from their location. WebMy Solution was to create a Shortcut of the .ps1 file, and modify the Target to execute with Powershell by default. Step 1) Create a Shortcut (not a copy) of the .ps1 file. Step 2) Open "Properties" for the Shortcut you just created. Step 3) In the "Target" field, insert the path to Powershell.exe before the path to the .ps1 file.
