WebSong of the South My findings It's not a bad movie really, plenty of catchy tunes and a good plot. Just very outdated and filled with racial stereotypes. To me it's no worse than Gone With The Wind movie. Song of the South is very much in the same vein as above mentioned film. Same stereotypes and they both paint an untrue picture of the old south.
